Our Story

We make shelving with permanence and grace, by hand, in our Staffordshire workshop.

Brass+Co was founded with a simple idea: to create modular shelving that feels as permanent as architecture, yet light in spirit.

Machined brass bars and fittings laid out in the workshop

Each system begins as brass bar. Collars and fittings are cut, turned and milled to our own drawings, then every part is brushed and finished by hand to bring out a quiet depth of tone.

Brass shelving parts ready for assembly

Every frame is put together and checked on the bench before it is packed, so it goes together first time in your home or project.

The result is furniture with presence and calm: modern craft built to last for generations.

Who makes it

A small team of makers, not a factory.

Brass+Co is run by Dan and the team at our Staffordshire workshop, the same people who make the architectural metalwork for Nacre Bespoke. The people who answer your enquiry are the people who draw, make and pack your shelving.

That is also why we can help with the unusual: odd spans, sloping ceilings, a finish to match something you already own. Have a look at our bespoke projects.
